We now have a little girl called Rosa Maria, born Christmas Eve 2019! She is now 7 months old and had her first trip in the Little Life carrier recently :)
The lock-down due to Covid-19 meant we were stuck at home for a lot of Spring this year, we managed to get a couple of local walks in but weren't allowed to do much.
Arthur is now almost 7, he did a great 3 day walk with me in 2019 which can be found here.
Illness and Covid continue to hamper efforts to get on longer walks but hopefully soon!

We have moved to Old Town in Eastbourne!
Tanya is now more involved with the site building meditations, curating quotes and generally raising bugs/suggestions.
We have reworked a number of areas of the site to better present the growing number of walks and associated information.
We are still walking the South Downs around Eastbourne on a regular basis, keeping an eye on the frog spawn in the dew pond up by the trig point, finding non-SDW routes over to Bell Tout and giving Arthur as many chances as possible to stretch his legs.

We are still in Eastbourne!
Since we bought the Little Life carrier we don't use the pram or sling on walks any more, however since he's now almost two and a half we also try to get him doing some actual walking as well.

In May 2014 we moved to Eastbourne, an hour East of Brighton by train. We also have a baby called Arthur now.
We bought a Mothercare Extreme buggy which has been so-so, we picked up some off road tires which helps but ultimately it's not tough enough for walking (the front wheel is now quite wobbly). It's also quite heavy and getting it over styles is a real pain. To be fair, I could probably say the same about any buggy, I just thought the 'Extreme' name might make it special.
For most walks we now put him in the Manduca sling and just get on with it :)

We are fortunate to live in Brighton (England) which sits just on the edge of the eastern end of the South Downs (a national park since 2011) by the sea.
Many of our walks are local and around 6 miles, we take our time (usually all day) and enjoy the countryside, there is no rush to get anywhere. Often my wife will try to find somewhere for a snooze if it's a warm sunny afternoon.
We will usually stop off in one of the many pubs in the area for a drink or lunch, though recently we have been taking food with us such that we can find our own quiet spot somewhere under a shady tree.
We enjoy exploring and walking on holiday as well. To date (2013) we have been on walking holidays to Snowdonia (Llanberis), Cumbria (Staveley) and the Isle of Wight (Shanklin).
'Walking holiday' sounds far too serious actually, we spend as much time in front of the fire as we do outside!
Please enjoy all our walks, they are referenced back to source material where ever possible so you can follow them yourselves should you wish. Enjoy also all our photos and please do leave comments.
