Bluebells to Berwick walked in thespring on06/05/2018

I took Arthur to meet a friend at Bates Green farm, they have woods full of bluebells around this time of the year to walk around.

We spent a good few hours running about and doing the bluebell walk before heading off, our route back being a well sign posted cross country path to Berwick train station.

We start with a 20 minute walk along the road, few cars pass and Arthur happily plays as we pass fields and more fields! Soon we turn off south / south west down towards Arlington first along an overgrown muddy path into a field with wonderful views of the downs and then into crop fields before entering a small wood to get to the church.

We stop at the Yew Tree Inn for lunch (love this pub!) and then head over to the reservoir, this takes a good 20 minutes to walk around.

Finally we make our way up and over the hill to Berwick station and take the train home.
